E-Z Movers doesn’t think so.
“The more prepared you are, the better the move will go,” a certified moving consultant for E-Z Movers, a Chicago based moving company tell customers.
Certified moving consultants give advice to E-Z Movers customers who underestimate just how much stuff they have with them. That can mean the price of the move can increase tremendously which then makes the customer think to make room (at a price) for extra couches.
“It just comes down to preparation,” said the moving consultant who works at E-Z Movers.
Here are E-Z Movers tips to a smooth move.
Label your boxes: Some quick work with a sharpie pen will help when you pack the truck (fragile items on top!) and increase your efficiency when you unload at your new place.
Wrap your belongings: Protect your furniture with strong shrink wrap, bubble wrap and tape that you can find at any major hardware store. This keeps your stuff safe from wear and tear, and also cuts down the price if you do it before the moving company gets there.
Be through: How much stuff do you have? If you underestimate, you could be renting a truck one size too small or setting yourself up for a budget which overruns with a moving company.
Be at the move: Whether it’s a group of friends or a moving company doing the heavy lifting, nothing should go anywhere without knowing where. You are responsible for making sure everything gets on the truck. But keep your involvement to a minimum with Tip #5.
Stay out of the way: If you hired a moving company, let them do the job you’re paying them for. Most movers are billing you by the hour so too much interference could be costly.

This is a good blog & you are right. We can get a huge amount of stress if we try to move all by ourselves. So why not choosing a moving company for the job? No matter where you live, you can get good movers around you like Chicago movers, Austin movers, and Dallas movers. We just have to choose the one most suitable one for us.
